Atif Choudhury is a first generation Bangladeshi-American who was raised in Columbia, South Carolina. Atif graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2011 with a bachelors degree from Vanderbilt University in Political Science and Medicine Health and Society.
From 2011 to 2012, Atif served in City Year Washington D.C as a tutor, mentor, and after-school program coordiator at Kelly Miller Middle School. Atif also served as both a City Year Corporate Sponsor Liaison, and Media Liaison.
Atif earned his J.D. from William and Mary Law School in May 2015, where he concentrated in international law, post-conflict transitional justice, and rule of law development. He served as a TetraTech DPK Global Law and Development Fellow where he provided technical and operational support to justice sector projects in Timor-Leste. Atif is currently a 2017-17 Drapers Scholar at Queen Mary University of London where he is pursuing a LLM in Public International Law. Atif ultimately intends to utilize his legal education in order to pursue an inter-disciplinary career within the fields of Transitional Justice, Human Rights, International Development, Governmental Transparency, National Security, and Foreign Policy.
