August J. Pollak is a cartoonist, illustrator, and blogger. His weekly cartoon "Some Guy With a Website" has appeared in several print and online publications including The Los Angeles Times, In These Times, and Campus Progress, as well as his own popular weblog. Pollak's work is also featured in Ted Rall's Attitude 3: The New Subversive Online Cartoonists.

Pollak's writing and cartooning examine the countless crimes of the Bush administration, the absurdity of modern media, and the total uselessness of pandas. In 2006 he attempted to survey several dozen right-wing pundits and bloggers to see if they would still support President Bush if he killed a kitten- an exercise which led to one right-wing blogger demanding that Pollak "purge my existence from your abused, mistreated brain."

Pollak graduated in 2003 from the animation program at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Born and raised in Teaneck, New Jersey, he currently lives in Washington, DC. His latest book of cartoons, Junk in the Toaster and Other Brilliant Ideas from Some Guy With a Website, was released in Fall 2007.
