Bess Kercher is a writer, blogger, and aspiring Middle Grade author. When she's not obsessing about political matters she enjoys reading great books. Her interest in people and their stories underscored her previous work at both a battered women's shelter, where she found women were empowered when talking through their life experiences; and as a development officer at a center to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect, where sharing the agency's story helped to inspire giving. Graduate studies in organizational communication offered an academic understanding of this passion, and the confirmation that we make sense of our lives through the stories we tell.
