Camille Crittenden
Deputy Director, Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society (CITRIS) and the Banatao Institute, University of California

Camille Crittenden is Deputy Director of CITRIS and directs the CITRIS Data and Democracy Initiative, based at UC Berkeley. Prior to this appointment, she served as Executive Director of the Human Rights Center at Berkeley Law and helped to develop its program in human rights, technology, and new media. She holds a Ph.D. from Duke University and is the author of a book on Viennese operetta as well as articles and essays on new media, transitional justice, and political engagement.
