Student, Yale University

Carol Hsin is an engineering major at Yale University (class of 2013) who has been researching energy since 2009. As a project for the class 'Studies in Grand Strategy', this summer she cycled along the Keystone pipeline (about 2000 miles) from Patoka, Illinois to Canada's main oil sands (Fort Mcmurray), interviewing locals, scientists, workers along the way to write about energy security, US-Canadian oil relations, oil boomtowns, environmental degradation and other issues.
