Carolyn Davis

Senior Policy Analyst, Faith and Progressive Policy Initiative at the Center for American Progress

Dr. Carolyn Davis has contributed to websites including ThinkProgress, Religion Dispatches, and Talking Points Memo. She received her PhD from Vanderbilt University, where she researched faith, gender, and sexuality as a Fellow in the Program for Theology and Practice. She is especially interested in religious liberty debates and their impact on the lives of women, minorities, and young people. Dr. Davis has taught courses on youth, gender, sexuality, and religion for Andover Newton Theological School in Newton, MA and Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC. She currently resides in Washington, DC, where she works as a policy analyst for the Faith and Progressive Policy Initiative at the Center for American Progress. Dr. Davis is also an ordained minister in The United Methodist Church.
