Co-founder, VeeV

Carter Reum (pronounced “reem”) is the visionary social entrepreneur who co-founded The World’s First Açaí SpiritTM, VeeV®, and created the first alcohol company to become certified carbon neutral. Carter and Courtney discovered Açaí, a fruit known for its antioxidants and health benefits, in Brazil while on a surfing trip, and immediately began developing a liqueur that fuses the exotic berry with all- natural ingredients and column distilled base wheat spirit. Carter and Courtney made an eco- conscious commitment by donating 1% of sales to environmental causes through 1% for the Planet®, and by the progressive step of becoming the first and only certified carbon neutral spirits company in the world.

Carter cultivated his knowledge about entrepreneurship and small business startups working for Champ Ventures in Sydney, Australia where he evaluated hundreds of start-up opportunities and executed investments on behalf of the fund. He was an investment banker in the industrial division at Goldman Sachs in New York City, working with diverse clients such as Honeywell, KKR, and Lockheed Martin.
