Christopher Dyer

LGBT activist; founder, Youth Pride Alliance and Dyer Consulting Services

Christopher Dyer is the founder and owner of Dyer Consulting Services. He has a long history as a D.C.-based LGBT activist. Prior to starting his practice, Dyer served as the director of the Office of GLTB Affairs for the D.C. government under Mayor Fenty. In this position Chris was responsible for recommending and implementing policy changes to improve the lives of LGBT residents in the District of Columbia, and for representing the mayor to the LGBT community. Prior to joining the administration Chris worked for a variety of nonprofit organizations, including the American Lung Association, the American Bar Association, the Association of American Colleges and Universities, and the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing.

In 1997 Christopher founded the Youth Pride Alliance, a 501(c)3 organization that sponsors an annual Youth Pride event for LGBTQ youth and their supporters. Dyer has received a variety of awards from organizations like Capital Pride, the Gay and Lesbian Activist Alliance, Whitman Walker Health, and the District of Columbia government. An avid fan of karaoke and global travel, Chris is always looking for new opportunities to help organizations grow and achieve results.
