Christopher F. Jones is an Assistant Professor of History at Arizona State University in the School of Historical, Philosophical, and Religious Studies. His research analyzes the intersections between energy, environment, and society. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and has held fellowships at Harvard, the University of Virginia, and Berkeley. His first book, Routes of Power: Energy and Modern America, examines the origins and consequences of America's first energy transitions and will be published by Harvard University Press in spring 2014.
