Christopher Mailander is an international lawyer and advisor to multinational companies, international investors, and foreign governments with a particular focus upon direct investments and policy initiatives in emerging markets, including conflict and post-conflict nations. He has worked throughout the Middle East and North Africa, South Asia, Commonwealth of Independent States, and Sub-Saharan Africa, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nigeria, Ghana, Rwanda, Algeria, Ukraine, Georgia, and Armenia, among others.

He is particularly focused upon the strategic implications of leadership, decision-making, cross-cultural negotiations, and interpersonal communications at the intersection of international politics, local governance, and business. Previously, he has been an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center; an adjunct fellow at the foreign policy think tank, the Center for Strategic & International Studies; and a senior advisor at a global management consultancy.
