Chuck Ingoglia

Vice president of public policy, National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare

Mr. Ingoglia is vice president of public policy at the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare in Washington, DC. With more than 15 years of experience in behavioral healthcare, he has worked as a provider, advocate, and educator for government and public sector organizations.

In his current role, Mr. Ingoglia directs the federal affairs function of the nonprofit trade association as well as its policy and technical assistance outreach to 1,950 member organizations across the nation. Most recently, his efforts have centered on key issues such as parity, healthcare reform, and increasing access and retention in community behavioral healthcare.

Prior to joining the National Council, Mr. Ingoglia provided policy and program design guidance, including the review of state Medicaid Waiver applications and other HHS regulations, to the Center for Mental Health Services at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

He has worked in a transitional shelter with homeless persons and provided individual, group and couples counseling at the Whitman-Walker Clinic in Washington, DC. Long committed to social service and education, Mr. Ingoglia also spends his time as adjunct faculty at the George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management and as a volunteer with local social work and youth health organizations.
