Crystal Mei Yuk Lee

Crystal Mei Yuk Lee, Miss Hawaii 2013 is a recent graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a degree in Communications. Crystal was crowned Miss Chinatown Hawaii in 2012 and successfully competed in the Miss Hawaii competition, capturing the crown in June of this year. She is the 69th Miss Hawaii following a long legacy of former Miss Hawaii's starting with Irmgard Leina'ala Waiwaiole in 1948. This long legacy of Miss Hawaii's includes two Miss America's and countless national finalists in the Miss America system. Crystal is a skilled dancer and has been training for over 15 years, she will perform a contemporary dance at Miss America this September in Atlantic City. Like many past Miss Hawaii's, Crystal is very invested in community service and has adopted the Blood Bank as a platform partner during her journey to the Miss America title. "Promoting the Gift of Life-The Importance of Giving Blood" is her personal platform and you will hear Crystal's personal story of why this platform is dear to her heart. But, it doesn't stop there...Crystal also works closely with the Children's Miracle Network and their Miracle Champions to raise funds and promote awareness of the good work that is done right here in Hawaii through CMN's Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children. Crystal is a true example of what being Miss Hawaii is all about. She is an intelligent, multi-talented, committed young lady who represents the best and brightness of her generation.
