Claudia Zelevansky holds a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University in Performance Studies and a Master of Fine Arts in Directing from the Yale School of Drama. Her professional career in the arts spans more than fifteen years and includes directing, teaching, coaching, and producing. Directing credits include more than 35 resident theatre productions, and Claudia has also been a guest director and visiting artist at colleges and universities across the country. She made her directorial film debut with The Cold Snap, which had its premiere at the Los Angeles International Film Festival in 2010. She was the Associate Artistic Director of the Dallas Theater Center for four years, and as a teaching artist, she has collaborated with many theaters and public schools throughout New York City and also acted as Senior Teaching Artist for the National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Institutes. Since 2012, she has been a Senior Associate at Martin Vinik Planning for the Arts, a boutique arts consulting firm, working on theaters, museums, arts districts, and school planning all over the world. Claudia has taught acting and directing at Yale University, Northwestern University, CUNY’s Queens College, Oberlin College, and Sarah Lawrence College, among others, and she has her own performance coaching business, CZ Coaching, which offers coaching for both actors and professionals of all kinds.
