Reporter, author, journalism professor
Dan Reimold, Ph.D., is a college journalism scholar who has written and presented about the student press throughout the U.S., Southeast Asia and in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. He is an assistant professor of journalism at Philadelphia’s Saint Joseph’s University, where he also advises The Hawk student newspaper. He maintains College Media Matters, a student journalism industry blog affiliated with the Associated Collegiate Press. His textbook, Journalism of Ideas: Brainstorming, Developing, and Selling Stories in the Digital Age, was published in spring 2013 by Routledge. His first book on college media, Sex and the University: Celebrity, Controversy, and a Student Journalism Revolution, was published in fall 2010 by Rutgers University Press.
