Daniel Sobajian

Freshman, Columbia University/Jewish Theological Seminary of America

Daniel Sobajian is currently a freshman in the joint program between Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. A graduate of Venice High in Los Angeles, Daniel cares immensely about the current state, and future, of education in Los Angeles. Daniel has always shown great concern for his community, as he approached his Councilman at the age of 13 years old, asking what he could do to most effectively help his community. Ever since that day, Daniel has worked tirelessly to make his community, and the greater Los Angeles area, one he would be proud to be a part of. Believing that School Board Member Zimmer has the true interests of students at heart, Daniel has been helping Steve with his campaign from 3,000 miles away. Sick of hearing the media talk about unions and billionaires, Daniel decided to write his own piece, about his own experiences, as a student and community activist in Los Angeles Unified. As Daniel has learned, everybody has a unique story to share.
