Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Tennessee; also a lawyer

Darryl Weiman is a Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. He did his undergraduate training at Northwestern University where he majored in Biomedical Engineering. He did his Medical School training at Saint Louis University. He did his General surgery residency at the University of Chicago and his Cardiothoracic training at Long Island Jewish Hospital in New York. He is also a graduate of the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis and he passed the Bar Exam for the state of Tennessee. He does research and writes on Health Care Law issues.
Dr. Weiman is the author of two books, Medical Malpractice and Fundamental Issues in Health Care Law.
Dr. Weiman is married to Kathleen Weiman and they have two daughters, Johanna and Millicent who are both in college.
