David M. Roberts

David M. Roberts is the President and & CEO of Verus Research, an information service firm that provides academically rigorous and comprehensive analysis of executive compensation and corporate governance as it relates to firm performance.

Prior to joining Verus, David was the President & CEO of Equity Methods, a FAS 123R software and services provider. In this role, David led the business to a market leadership position serving more than 500 corporate clients, including HP, Costco, and Disney. He successfully positioned the firm for sale to Merrill Lynch & Co in August of 2006. Post acquisition, David led the combined Bank of America/Merrill Lynch corporate financial reporting offering.

David is a well-recognized expert in the areas of executive compensation, option valuation and financial reporting. He is a frequent keynote speaker at industry organizations such as Finance Executives International and the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals.

David received his undergraduate degree from Baylor University and his MBA from the University of Chicago. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member at the WP Carey School of Business.
