David M. Wilson, a highly respected polar historian who regularly lectures on exploration history, is a great nephew of Dr. Edward Wilson, who died with Captain Scott and his party. He is currently Chairman of the Scott Centenary Committee at the Scott Polar Research Institute, where he is coordinating many of the major centenary events. He is the author of The Lost Photographs of Captain Scott (Little, Brown)
