Episcopal Priest and Army Reserve Chaplain

David W. Peters served as an enlisted Marine 1994-2000 and deployed to Baghdad, Iraq as an Army Chaplain in 2005. He is currently an Episcopal priest and Army Reserve Chaplain in Austin, TX. His article, "A Spiritual War: Crises of Faith in Combat Chaplains from Iraq and Afghanistan," in Listening on the Edge: Oral History and Crisis (Oxford University Press, 2014). His latest book, Death Letter: God, Sex, and War is part memoir, part comic lament on the three greatest subject of our mythic imagination.
