Dr. David Shorter is a Professor of World Arts and Cultures at the University of California Los Angeles. He is the author of scholarly articles and an award-winning book about Indigenous rights. He researches and teaches about the Borderlands of Science, including scientific approaches to the study of the paranormal. A winner of UCLA's Distinguished Teaching Award, Shorter also directs the Archive of Traditional Medicine. He lives in Los Angeles.
