Deanna Othman is a freelance journalist from Chicago, IL. She has been published in the Chicago Tribune, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Daily Herald and on the blog Mondoweiss. She has also appeared as a guest on "Chicago Tonight" on PBS and "Min Washington" of Al Jazeera, commenting on Muslim American affairs and the media's portrayal of Muslims. Deanna is a graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
