Denise M. Miranda, Esq. is the managing director of the Safety Net Project at the Urban Justice Center. The Safety Net Project (SNP) is New York City's advocate for economic justice, combining direct legal services, litigation, research, and policymaking to achieve economic justice for all New Yorkers. As managing director, Ms. Miranda is responsible for shaping the research, advocacy and litigation agenda for the project.

Born and raised in New York City, Ms. Miranda has over 17 years of litigation experience in both the private and nonprofit sector. She holds a B.A. from New York University and a J.D. from St. Johns School of Law and is a member of the New York State bar as well as admitted to the Southern and Eastern Federal District Courts.
