By day, Dinean Robinson is dynamic PR strategist with a passion and respect for media relations, special events, and crisis communications. She currently serves as the PR Committee Chairwoman on the NJ Black Public Relations Society Board of Directors and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America. Over the past six years she has provided public relations services for Milk Bone, The Lincoln Park Music Festival, Hetrick-Martin Institute, Banfield Pet Hospitals, TEDx, YOU Belong, and Newark Mentoring Movement. She is a graduate of Seton Hall University's award winning public relations program.
By night, Dinean is nightlife experience creator. Specializing in events for queer women. Dinean founded Bi-sexuals and Lesbian Interacting in Sexy Settings (B.L.I.S.S. Entertainment) in 2006 and has since been committed to creating nightlife experience for women in New Jersey. In addition to her nightlife work, Dinean is steeped in community organizing and has served on 2 Newark Pride planning committees, is part of the founding team of YOU Belong LGBT Sports & Leadership Initiative, a current member of the Hetrick-Martin Institute Newark Advisory Board, and an active participant in the Queer Newark Oral History Project. She has been profiled on Newark Patch and Elixher.com. Dinean works full-time at the United Way of Essex and West Hudson and currently resides in Newark, NJ.
