Jan Sharry

Jan joined Haynes and Boone, LLP in 1977 at a time when women lawyers were still rare and few firms were hiring women. She was one of the first female lawyers and partners at the corporate law firm of Haynes and Boone and has played an integral role in the firm’s hiring, promotion and retention of women lawyers, acting as a professional mentor to countless young women lawyers along the way. She provides counsel to clients in the areas of corporate finance, including mergers and acquisitions and public offerings. Her clients include American Airlines, Service King Collision Repair Centers and Matador Resources Company. Jan was recently recognized as the 2012 Dallas Business Journal Dealmaker of the Year and also one of the top Women in Business in Dallas. She has been recognized as one of the best lawyers in United States, as well as Texas and Dallas. She currently serves in a leadership role for organizations including the Dallas chapter of the International Women's Forum, the Dallas Women’s Foundation and the Executive Women's Roundtable of the Dallas Chamber of Commerce.
