Doug Porter is an ex-pat who currently resides in the Caribbean. In the 1970's he was editor of the San Diego Door Newspaper and CounterSpy magazine. In 2000 he decided to leave the mainland, in part because he was fearful of what a Bush administration would do to the United States. He now realizes that running away probably wasn't a good idea, but can't bring himself to abandon his Island Lifestyle.
