Dr. Jim Kerley
President, Gulf Coast State College
Dr. Jim Kerley has been President of Gulf Coast State College for over six years, and eighteen years at two other community colleges in Kentucky, for a total of twenty-four years. A major focus at Gulf Coast and the other Colleges has been building engagement with surrounding communities, addressing workforce gaps and ensuring all individuals have the opportunity to pursue higher education. Jim received his Ph.D. from Florida State University, M.A.T. from The Citadel and a B.S. degree from Tennessee Tech University. Jim has a unique passion for students, always giving hope and opportunity for all.
