Family Nurse Practitioner, Author, 'The True Meaning of Magic'
Dr. Lisa T. Williams is a family nurse practitioner and a former nursing professor at the University of Carolina residing in Columbia, SC. She and her husband Maurice Holloway, owner operator/CEO of Option One Trucking, are parents of two sons – MJ and Logan. In February of 2012, when MJ was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor, they were referred to St. Jude in Memphis, Tennessee. Today, Both MJ and Lisa share their story hoping to bring awareness to bullying, childhood cancer and most of all support of St. Their experience has inspired Lisa to write and publish an enchanting children’s fantasy about a young boy who discovers The True Meaning of Magic while going through cancer treatment at a magical children’s research hospital. It is the first book of a children’s fantasy series in which she hopes will someday allow her to give back significantly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for saving her son’s life.
