I explore, race, class, gender, sexuality and popular culture with humor and insight.

www.charleseasley.weebly.com Charles Easley is best selling Amazon author for his book series "Misadventures of an Urban Nerd and "Class is in Session". He is also a columnist for Creative Loafing. When he is not fighting crime as a Black, gay, southern, educator he is binging on Netflix, sitcoms, writing and working on campaign for Marvel to finally produce a Storm X men origin film as he is a proud nerd and comic book geek. And hopefully with an actress that is authentic to the character, Storm is from Kenya for Christ sake. We don’t want another Nina Simone casting faux pas. He has appeared on media outlets including NPR, an appearance on "The BJ Murphy Show" and several guest host spots on "The Satisfied Life" with Ramona Holloway. He is a committed educator, writer and media artist. Charles has enjoyed a very successful career of blending academic and professional environments. He brings the critical analysis of academia to a production environment while taking the sensibility of practical application into the classroom. His professional endeavors include: Former Academic Chair for Digital Filmmaking and Video Production at the Art Institute of Charlotte; Lab Supervisor/Instructor for the Host Broadcast Training Program for the 1996 Olympic Games; Off-line Editor for the European Broadcasting Unit for the 1996 Olympic Games; Assistant Professor of Mass Media Arts at Clark-Atlanta University; Assistant Professor of Mass Communication at Barber-Scotia College; a Free-lance editor for WAGX FOX Channel 5, Atlanta, GA and Free-lance writer for the Atlanta Tribune. He has served as a panelist for various topics including Black Male Images in the Media, as well as a panelist at the Mint Museum Uptown for The Charlotte Black Film Festival on the subject of "The Color of Media."
