Eliot M. Wagonheim

Eliot is a business lawyer profoundly dissatisfied with what his profession typically characterizes as business as usual. Throughout his career, he has served as general counsel to innovative companies ranging from 5 person operations to some of the most recognized and respected brands in the country.

Eliot is a published author, holds an AV rating (excellent to pre-eminent) from Martindale-Hubbell for legal ability and ethical values, and has been designated as a Maryland "Super Lawyer." He is a regularly featured columnist for SmartCEO Magazine and writes a weekly blog.

In 2002, Eliot founded Wagonheim Law, a firm devoted to the interests of growing, innovative companies. Wagonheim Law upends the role of a traditional business lawyer of preventing exciting things from happening.

In 2015, Eliot launched Outlawyer as a platform of innovation informed by the guidance of entrepreneurial organizations past real world obstacles. Outlawyer builds on what Wagonheim Law created and is solely dedicated to helping business leaders achieve their highest and best use.

Eliot is a frequent public speaker on topics such as leadership, management, and a variety of legal issues. He is a graduate of Duke University and the University of Maryland School of Law.

From an academic standpoint, Eliot is most proud of his completion of 2 seven week improv comedy workshops with the Baltimore Improv Group. From a real life standpoint, Eliot views convincing his wife, Nicole, to marry him as his crowning achievement.

Eliot and Nicole live in Pennsylvania and are parents to two boys who, at the time of this writing, have long since become smarter than their father.
