Ellen Moyer, Ph.D.
Independent environmental consultant
Ellen Moyer is an independent environmental consultant with a B.A. in Anthropology, an M.S. in Environmental Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering. With over 30 years of professional experience, she is a registered professional engineer in four states as well as a U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional. Having worked on some of the most challenging contaminated sites in the United States, including numerous Superfund sites, areas of expertise include assessment and remediation of soil and groundwater contamination, engineering economics, sustainability, water supply protection, and project, program, and quality management. She authored or co-authored more than 25 articles and 2 books and co-presented more than 100 seminars on assessing and remediating contaminated soil and groundwater. The books are MTBE Remediation Handbook and The Economics of Leak Detection and Repair Programs: A Case Study Approach. Her upcoming third book, with the working title Creating Great Times: For Our Earth, Our Species, and Our Selves, is for a non-technical audience.
