Emma Birchall
Head of Research, Future of Work

Emma is a writer, speaker and expert on the future of work. Emma leads the Future of Work Research Consortium, a group of more than 100 multinational companies exploring what work will look like in the years ahead, and what individuals and organisations must do now to prepare. She draws inspiration from the creative arts, in particular improvisational theatre, which she studies and performs in London and Chicago. In 2016, Emma co-founded Becoming X – a charity demystifying what it takes to achieve extraordinary, with the aim of creating a world in which everyone can realise their potential, no matter what their starting point in life. Becoming X engages with some of the world’s most extraordinary people to share their stories, and has so far benefitted from the involvement of heavyweight boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko; the world’s greatest explorer, Sir. Ranulph Fiennes; and former South African president F.W. de Klerk.
