Eric G Wilson is a professor of English at Wake Forest University and the author of many books, including, most recently, Everyone Loves a Good Train Wreck: Why We Can't Look Away, an exploration of the origins and uses of morbid curiosity. Among his other titles are Against Happiness: In Praise of Melancholy, The Mercy of Eternity: A Memoir of Depression and Grace, and My Business Is To Create: Blake's Infinite Writing.
