Deputy Director of Programs at Save the Children

Erin Kopaigorodsky is a Deputy Director of Programs at Save the Children, which invests in childhood – every day, in times of crisis and for our future. In the United States and around the world, Save the Children serves 143 million children, giving them a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm.

Erin currently serves as the state lead for Save the Children’s programs in Alabama, California, Louisiana, and Washington. She joined Save the Children in February 2006 as a Psychosocial Curriculum Trainer for the organization’s first domestic emergency response – Hurricane Katrina. Since then, Save the Children has helped more than 800,000 children affected by disaster in the U.S.

Erin earned her MPH from Tulane University’s School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine. During her high school and college years, Erin spent time volunteering in Russian orphanages, where she saw first-hand the effects that early deprivation had on children. Since then, she has sought out ways to improve outcomes for children around the world.
