Gilbert Doumit

Managing Partner, Beyond Reform & Development

Gilbert Doumit is a Yale World Fellow from Lebanon, a founder and Managing Partner of BRDI Group; an Arab social business and consulting firm with a purpose to assist government institutions, political parties, civil society and international organizations in policy innovation, management reform and leadership development. He has served as advisor and consultant to a number of public institutions, UN Agencies, and political parties across the Arab world. His most recent work and publications focused on decentralization and local governance, political leadership, electoral reform, social entrepreneurship, and the role of NGOs within the democratic process.

Doumit is also a Senior Partner with Beyond Consulting and Training. As a management consultant, Doumit expertise is in people and organizational capacity development of myriad multinational and local companies in the Gulf, Levant and North Africa.

He also applies his management consulting skills to his wide range of civic initiatives where he contributes to fostering political reform and democratic culture. Doumit is a founding member and ex-General Secretary of Nahwa Al-Muwatiniya (Towards Citizenship), a pro-democracy NGO, and a founding member of Injaz Lebanon, a youth-empowerment group. In 2007, Doumit helped launch an anti-war movement Khalass! (Enough!). He also served as the General Coordinator of the 2009 Electoral Observation Mission in Lebanon.
