Gordon Rooney

Development Manager at the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs

Gordon currently serves with the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs, where he helps produce and manage a range of arts and cultural events. He has taught English and about American culture in Japan, where he also had the opportunity to volunteer in the Tohoku Region, the area devastated by the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Gordon's background includes a service year with City Year and stints with local, state and federal government. He studied government at the University of Texas at Austin and currently serves as a Franklin Project Ambassador.
