Heather A. Paul
Community engagement professional, educator, writer, and grief-work facilitator

Heather has been a “professional Jew” since 2008. She has worked as a Jewish engagement and programming director for Hillel International at both UC Santa Cruz and Stanford University. At Stanford, she was also the director of Camp Kesem, a year-round community and week-long summer camp for the children of cancer patients. In October 2015 she moved to Seattle, where she is Jewish Engagement Lead at the Jewish Federation of Seattle. In her spare time she volunteers as a counselor and grief group facilitator for children and teens facing parent loss and long-term parent illness. Heather holds BA’s in creative writing and history as well as an MA in history from UC Santa Cruz, and a graduate certificate in Jewish education from Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion. Her work has appeared in the Santa Cruz Good Times Weekly, and she has performed her creative pieces on stage and on live radio.
