Heidi Pickman is an independent radio producer/writer and media consultant. She was a communications officer at the Apollo Alliance where she helped turn clean energy policy suggestions into actual federal policy. She was the founding producer of "Weekend America," a weekly public radio magazine program that can be heard nationally on NPR member stations and internationally on the web. Previously she was a producer on the "Marketplace Morning Report," the public affairs director at KPFK, Los Angeles, and the producer of "Marc Cooper's Daily Review" and "RadioNation." She graduated Tufts with a BA in Economics and returned for her Masters, after which she obtained her C. Phil. in Economics from UCLA. She has a keen interest in anything do to with Spain.
