Holly Spinelli

Teacher, City-As-School High School

Holly Spinelli is in her sixth year as a student advisor and English Language Arts teacher at City-As-School High School, an alternative public school in New York City. Spinelli runs student-centered, social justice, and community project oriented courses. She proudly serves as the graduation portfolio coordinator where she documents and organizes the students' final projects and presentations. She is an active member of the School Leadership Team. In 2006, Spinelli earned her BA in English and Communication and Media Studies at Fordham University. In 2008, she earned her first MA in Teaching English Grades 7-12 at New York University's Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development and she is currently working towards her MA in English at The Bread Loaf School of English
at Middlebury College.
