Isa Hendry Eaton

Writer, Landscape Designer, Mom of 3

Isa Hendry Eaton is a writer and landscape designer. Isa graduated from Yale University with a degree in Latin American Studies with a focus on Women and the Environment. After a successful decade working in the San Francisco Bay Area in the fields of graphic design and letterpress, she returned to her hometown of Santa Barbara. A child of two Mountain Drive artists, Isa began her education hiking the Santa Barbara foothills, playing in her parents’ ceramics studio and renovating several houses and gardens along the way. After studying horticulture and landscape design at Santa Barbara City College, the transition from Graphic Design to Landscape Design was fluid – working with similar elements of color, composition, and form. Isa’s writing and landscape design work have been featured in HGTV Magazine, Santa Barbara Magazine, and Edible Magazine and is working on her first book—a memoir about love, loss, and coming home. Isa lives in Santa Barbara with her husband, three mostly glorious children and miniature poodle.
