Isa Freeling has a long and multipurpose career in the arts. A graduate of Bennington College, where she majored in Drama and Literature; Ms. Freeling continued her studies in acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. She is a development and film acquisition's consultant for Ironworks Productions as well as an art and culture writer for several publications, including the New York Daily News, Huffington Post and Artlyst.
She works with emerging artists and collectors as an advisor. Freeling is resolute in assisting artists to develop their work and find appropriate venues for exhibition. She works with both emerging and mid-career artists. She is tireless in her dedication to uncover the right match of artists work to a collectors sensitivities. She has spoken on international film festival panels about film & television development and sales. She covered the gamut of international film festivals for Ironworks Productions, Metropolitan film Associates and Canadian based Cinemavault Releasing in Acquisitions-- on documentary and fiction features, as well as Mystic Fire on experimental and alternative film. She founded Now Playing, which was a children’s theater program integrating kids from divergent backgrounds. She has written on art, theater, film as well as on socio-political issues, including big development in Brooklyn, New York and on Ferguson.
Freeling is currently serving as an Advisory Board Member to ENACT. A 20-year old organization started by Diana Feldman, to help young people maneuver through life via drama therapy. She is also a Board Member to Trendsetters; helping young women realize their future careers through mentoring programs. As a strong believer in volunteerism, she has given her time and effort to numerous causes in the US and abroad. She is also a painter.
