Jeri Bonavia is the Executive Director and founder of Wisconsin Anti-Violence Effort (WAVE) Educational Fund, an organization dedicated to preventing gun violence injuries and deaths. Under her leadership, WAVE has grown to nearly 50,000 supporters, creating a powerful voice for gun violence prevention in Wisconsin. Ms. Bonavia is a Special Adviser on Firearm Policy to the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence in Washington, D.C. and a participant of President Obama’s Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, headed by Vice President Joe Biden.
