Jessica Gimeno is a consummate multitasker—she juggles bipolar disorder, polycystic ovarian syndrome, asthma, psoriasis, and Myasthenia Gravis (a neuromuscular autoimmune disease). Her award-winning blog, Fashionably ill, is about surviving pain with style and humor. Outside of Fashionably ill, she is a freelance health writer, speaker, and mental health consultant. Jessica won Second Prize in the National Council of Community Behavioral Healthcare's Awards of Excellence and was named a Mental Health Hero by Psych Central. She graduated cum laude from Northwestern University with a B.S. in Communications and a Second Major in Political Science. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys painting, Pilates, and playing with her nephews.
