Jim McNutt

Jim McNutt is President and CEO of the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. A passionate leader, Jim is committed to enlisting public perception of wildlife art as a transformative tradition. A museum leader for over 25 years, Jim is equally recognized for his scholarship in wildlife art, western history, and folklore.

Jim has authored over 40 articles and lectures extensively. He has been responsible for dozens of significant exhibits including Up the Trail and Into the Movies: Changing Images of Ranch Women, 1850-1950, and recent shows featuring wildlife art by Andy Warhol, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Bob Kuhn. Jim holds a BA from Harvard and an MA and PhD from the University of Texas at Austin.
