John Hutson retired from the United States Navy as the Judge Advocate General in the grade of Rear Admiral after 28 years of service. After his Navy retirement he served for eleven years as the Dean and President of the University of New Hampshire School of Law. He is on the Board of Directors of Human Rights First. He and his wife now live in St. Augustine, FL.
