Jordan Hewson

Jordan Hewson is the founder and CEO of Speakable, the company behind Action Button that uses technology to make civic engagement more accessible and effective. Prior to Speakable, Jordan was the Founding Editor of GlobalCitizen.org, where she developed the company’s product strategy to increase user engagement and understanding of issues related to international development and extreme poverty. While at Global Citizen, she explored how audiences could engage on a deeper level with news and current affairs, which lead to the development of Speakable’s Action Button. Jordan is also a Director at Restless Development, a youth-led development agency placing young people at the forefront of development in Africa and Asia. Jordan has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Master’s degree in Creative Writing from Columbia University, and currently resides in Williamsburg, NY.
