Dr. Julia Sagebien is an Associate Professor at the School of Business Administration at Dalhousie University and a former Full Professor at the University of Puerto Rico. She served as Senior Fellow for the Canadian Foundation for the Americas (FOCAL) and for Forum Empresa. She is a Policy Council Advisor for Engage Cuba. She has published extensively on the topics of Cuban political economy, economic reform, trade and investment, sustainability and on CSR in developing countries, especially in the mining sector.
