justin adkins
Revolutionary trans* activist, organizer, and educator

justin adkins is a radical trans* activist living in Massachusetts. He works at a small liberal arts college, where he coordinates programing, supports students, and advises on policies focusing on gender, sexuality, and activism.

justin gained national attention for his participation in Occupy Wall Street and the mistreatment he received from the NYPD because he identifies as transgender.

justin was part of the steering committee for New England’s first-ever Transgender Pride March and Rally in June 2008, which was attended by 1,000 people in Northampton, Mass. He serves as the publications and communications chair on the board of the Consortium of Higher Education Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Resource Professionals.

justin is a regular speaker at high schools and colleges. His talks focus on bullying and LGBTQ terminology and his trainings are founded in radical queer feminist theory. justin also has a consulting business, Transgender Consultant, helping people and companies become more trans inclusive.

justin gained most of his public speaking experience as a Christian missionary and youth pastor in India, Zimbabwe, California, and Texas. He is now a practicing Buddhist and meditation facilitator.
