Karee Upendo

I am the 29 year old Founder of Karee Couture LLC, wife & mother of two boys. I was born and raised in Madison, WI. I also own a non profit program by the name of “Operation Upendo”, which is taken from our surname meaning love in Swahili. We've serviced over 800 people to date, through our toys for youth program, I wake up and do what I love. As an Artist, Designer and Philanthropist I found my purpose through entrepreneurship, & it was one of the most scariest but fulfilling things I've done in my life. I have hopes of expanding operation upendo into a teen crisis facility. I hope to bring awareness to suicide, depression & teen pregnancy through my testimony. I work alongside my 10 year old Alex who is the owner of Build-A-Bow, a custom bowtie and hair bow retailer that brings awareness to bullying through literacy and innovative products. I could go on and on about by children and husband, my cup runneth over. Ill spare you this one time, my life is simple and filled with love for family and others.
