Katia Vlachos

Writer, blogger and perpetual foreigner

Katia Vlachos researches and writes on cross-cultural adaptation and expatriate life. A Greek by birth and a perpetual foreigner by choice, she has lived in eight cities, seven countries and three continents - so far. In her blog (www.diary-of-a-move.com) and in a forthcoming book, she explores the challenges of finding and sustaining home amidst the chaos of nomadic life. Katia is a defense analyst by training, with a Ph.D. from the RAND Corporation and a Masters from Harvard. She lives in Zurich with her family. Unfittingly for her location – but in complete harmony with her Mediterranean upbringing – she enjoys water skiing much more than snow skiing. She’s still working on her Swiss-German.
