Kayley Whalen

Digital Strategies and Social Media Manager, National LGBTQ Task Force

Kayley is an activist whose work and writing focuses on the intersections of racial justice, LGBTQ issues, disability advocacy and justice for immigrants. She is a transgender/genderqueer Latinx woman who identifies as an atheist. Kayley is the Digital Strategies and Social Media Manager at the National LGBTQ Task Force, where she regularly brings her values as a secular humanist to the Task Force's interfaith work. She has directed social media for the Creating Change Conference for 3 years. She has also helped lead the organization's disability justice work, drawing on her experiences with mental illness. Kayley serves on the boards of Trans United Fund and Secular Student Alliance. Kayley skated with the DC Rollergirls under the name “Lenore Gore” for 5 years, and her story “Talk Derby To Me” was published in the Lambda award-winning anthology Gender Outlaws the Next Generation.
